In this message, we continue our sermon series in the book of II Samuel, “David’s Second Civil War,” and we come to the climactic battle in the Civil War.  David is reminded that God has surrounded him with all the resources he needs to find success.

In this message, we see flashes of the old, Godly king David, as he begins to come to terms with the enormity of Absalom’s rebellion and the situation in the kingdom.

In this message, we see the beginning of David’s real season of suffering for the sin he committed with Bathsheba – and it comes from the lessons his sons learned while watching him rebel against God.

In this message, Absalom returns to the royal city and quickly grows dissatisfied with his access to the king and the royal court, and the seeds of rebellion begin to grow.
